Privacy Policy

This policy covers personal information collected through calmjoints.org: the website, its forms, cookies and related emails. Your clinical record from a visit is handled under health privacy law, as explained below.

Who we are

Calm Joints is a trade name of Clairvoyant Holdings Inc. (“Calm Joints”, “we”). Contact: info@calmjoints.org.

What we collect

What you type into a form: name, email, phone, city or province, what you need help with, and for careers applicants your licence details, resume and links.

Technical data: IP address, device and browser, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location from IP, and cookie identifiers.

Booking and payment data when you book: appointment details and limited payment-processor tokens. We do not store full card numbers on this Site.

Please keep website forms short and do not paste detailed medical history into them. Your physiotherapist will collect what they need, securely, at your visit.

Your health record

Information your physiotherapist collects during assessment and treatment is personal health information. It is kept in a secure clinical record under Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and any other applicable health privacy law, and under your physiotherapist’s college rules. It is used for your care and is not used for marketing. You can ask for access to or correction of your health record at info@calmjoints.org.

Why we collect it

To answer requests, book and run visits, process payments, review job and partnership applications, keep the Site secure, understand how the Site is used, and meet legal duties.

We do not sell personal information.

Emails and texts

If you give us your email or phone, we use it to reply to you and about your bookings. We send newsletters or offers only with your consent, and every one includes a way to unsubscribe, as Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation requires.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies so the Site works and to see which pages are used, and, if you accept, to measure campaigns. You can control cookies in your browser. Cookies needed to run the Site may still be set.

Who we share with

• Service providers who host the Site, send email, handle bookings, process payments or provide analytics, under contracts that limit how they use the data.
• Your physiotherapist and our booking partner, as needed to book and deliver your visit.
• A partner location only when you ask us to, for example to confirm a partner perk. We do not share your health information with partners.
• Regulators, courts or lawyers when law requires it.
• A successor if the Calm Joints business is transferred, on the same privacy terms.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA, PHIPA and any applicable provincial privacy law (including Quebec Law 25 where it applies), you may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, ask us to delete Site information we do not need to keep, and withdraw consent for optional uses. Email info@calmjoints.org and we will respond within the time the law requires. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.

Where data is stored

Some of our service providers may store or process data outside your province or outside Canada. When they do, it is protected by contract and may be accessible to authorities under the laws of that country.

Children

The website is not directed at children under 16. A parent or guardian books and consents for a child’s visit.

Retention

We keep inquiry, application and booking records as long as needed for the relationship and our legal duties, then delete or archive them. Clinical records are kept for the period physiotherapy college rules require.

We will post updates on this page and change the date above.
